borasco (also borasca) - n., (in the Mediterranean) a sudden squall, usually accompanied by thunder and lightning.

chubasco - n., (on the Pacific Coast of Central America) a sudden squall, usually accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Both of them, note, happen at sea. The first has been used in English since the late 17th century, taken from Italian, where bor- is from Boreas, Greek personification of the north wind, and the rest is a noun suffix. The last, however, I'm not finding an etymology for, though it seems to be standard Spanish.
