Listed as "rare" even in a glossary of meteorology, so use it only as often as appropriate. Since we're in our rainy season, this was SUPPOSED to be appropriate, but we're in a dry spell for the week. Pronounced HEYE-i-tol-uh-jee, coined from Greek roots, from hyetós, rain, from hýein, to rain.
