ventose (VEN-tohs) - adj., windy, full of empty talk, flatulent.


Full of air in a couple ways. This is, alas, all but obsolete, but given that non-standard adjectival form, I can't say I'm surprised. Borrowed around 1720 from Latin ventōsus, windy, from ventus, wind.
