prettygoodwordmechlin - n., a kind of fine, transparent bobbin lace.
Originally made in Mechlin, Belgium (Mechelen in Dutch), whence the name. I would describe it more, but I know nothing about laces and would botch it. Wikipedia has a couple pretty pictures.
