inhere - v., to belong intrinsically, exist inseparably as a quality, attribute, or element.


To be inherent, except that brings us circular, as inherent means the quality of inhering. Given the relationship, no surprise that it's in-HEER. Another old one, in use since the 15th century as enheren, to be a companion, from Latin inhaerēre, to attach, from in- + haerēre, to stick.
