insordescent (in-sor-DESS-uhnt) - adj., growing in filthiness.

Largely obsolete outside of Catholic Church writings, where it is still used in the metaphoric extension of growing more unclean in a moral sense (for ex). Which is a pity, as my mother could have used it with devastating effect with regard to my bedroom, when I was growing up. One worth rescuing. From Latin in the 18th century, from insordescere, to become foul or dirty, from in- + sordescere, to become dirty, from sordes, dirt, filth.
