prettygoodwordtziganologist (tsi-guh-NOHL-uh-djist) - n., one who studies Gypsies.
Especially the Hungarian Romani, as the root comes (via French tzigane) from the Hungarian cigány, which I gotta wonder whether it's from the same Egyptian root (as in, based on the belief they came from Egypt) as the English word.
