aeromancy (AIR-uh-man-see) - n., divination by interpreting atmospheric conditions.
Literally, divination by air, in use since at least the late 14th century, borrowed or coined from Greek roots transmitted through Latin. This can be done by watching the wind (austromancy), cloud movement (nephomancy), lightning and thunder (ceraunoscopy), meteors (meteormancy), or even comet tails (cometomancy), since the latter two were once thought to be atmospheric effects, which is why they were so scary.
