prettygoodwordnubuck (NYUU-buk) - n., a type of brushed leather similar to suede.
The difference being, apparently, that while suede is napped on the inner (flesh) side of the leather, nubuck is napped on the outer (grain) side. Constructed from new + buck(skin), even though it's usually leather from cattle, at least these days.
