incondite (in-KON-dit, in-KON-dait) - adj., ill-constructed, unpolished (especially of artistic works); rough, crude, unmannerly.

Borrowed in the 1530s from Latin, from in-, not + past participle of condere, to put in, restore (from com-, with/together + dere, to put/set) -- so, not put together but rather just sort of piled up, is the general image. Not to be confused with recondite.
