mundify (MUHN-duh-feye) - v., to cleanse, make clean, purify.


Both of physical or spiritual stains. You can also mudify a wound, to deterge it. This one dates back to the late 14th century, borrowed from Latin mundificāre, from mundus, clean + -ficare, to make/cause.

That's an awesome word. On one hand, "mund" makes me think of "mud," which is the wrong association. On another, "mund" makes me think of "mundus," world, and then your definition, cleansing and purifying, makes me think of that thing in Jewish tradition, about healing the world.
