sparsile (SPAR-seyel) - adj., of a star, not included in any constellation.
Only used in 1891, meaning not that it was lost but that it never caught on, but I still think it's pretty darn good. Sample sentence: "The prevalence of sparsile stars today reflects technical advances in telescopy."
