ectopic (ek-TOP-ik) - adj., (med.) out of place.

Such, of an organ, congenitally displaced from its normal position -- or as some unhelpfully put it, characterized by ectopia. This last is possibly because it was coined (in 1873) from ectopia, itself borrowed (in 1847) from medical Latin, coined from Greek éktopos, from ek- = ex-, out of + tópos, place. In any case, the most commonly heard phrase is an extopic pregnancy, in which the fertilized egg implants anywhere other than the uterine wall -- but Wikipedia has a long list of extopias.

"Ectopic beats" or "ectopy" is the next-common, I'd say :) (referring to out-of-sync heartbeats)
