pseudology (soo-DOL-oh-jee) - n., lying, falsehood; lying considered (humorously) as an art form; the study of lying and deceit.
All of which can be found in dictionaries, but hardly any has all those senses. I suspect this was caused by multiple independent coinages. The sense of a false statement, however, was borrowed in the 1570s from Greek pseudologĂa , from pseudo-, false + logos, word.
