blasé (blah-ZAY) - adj., indifferent or unimpressed with something because of familiarity or surfeit; lacking enthusiasm, bored, jaded.

Anything from world-weary to nonchalant, though the former end of the spectrum is the stronger connotation. Adopted from French in the 1810s, the past participle of blaser, to cloy, from a dialectal meaning (which presumably means slang?) of be chronically hung over, which is speculated to be from Dutch blazen, to blow, from the puffed up effects of being hung-over.
