stichic - adj., made up of lines (of verse).


Typically especially lines with the same metrical form. Used in poetry criticism to distinguish from verse that's stanzaic -- that is, continuous lines of blank verse or couplets (sometimes divided into irregular verse paragraphs). From Greek stikhos, line, row, rank, related to steikhein, to go, to march in order.
