seriatim (seer-ee-AY-tim, ser-ee-AY-tim) - adv., one after the other in order, sequentially. adj., (law) point-by-point, sequential.

As an adverb, typically used to describe taking up one topic or subject at a time in a specific order. The legal meaning, which is old-fashioned, comes from that -- judges issuing decisions about multiple points in the dispute at hand in the order they were brought up. Adopted in the 1670s from Medieval Latin seriātim, from seriātus, arranged in order (from Latin series) + adverbial suffix -im.
