prettygoodwordI've a few word clusters on my list -- not enough for a full week, but I thought I'd cluster them anyway. A mini-theme.
shin/shinny/shimmy - v., to climb (a pole or rope) by holding fast with the hands or arms and legs and drawing oneself up.
Three variants of the same word -- shin seems to be the original, from Old English -- complicated by shimmy having other meanings (such as the dance) of different origin. I grew up saying shimmy -- I'm curious what you say.
