tendentious (ten-DEN-shuhs) - adj., having a marked tendency toward a particular point of view, partisan, biased.
As in a tendentious account of a recent election. Adopted in the late 19th century from Medieval Latin tendentia, which is also the ancestor of tendency itself, from Latin present participle of tendere, to stretch out/incline toward.
