slubberdegullion (sluh-ber-deh-GUL-yun, sluh-ber-dee-GUL-yun) - n., a filthy, slovenly person; wretch, scoundrel.

Can also, in some dialects, also have a connotation of a drunkard. A word that's not at all complimentary that's wonderful to say. The slubber- part is an alteration of slobber, but the rest is obscure -- suggestions include mock-French; Old French goalon, a sloven; British dialectal gullion, wretch; and cullion, archaic word for testicle (related to Sp. cajones and Fr. couillon), which in sixteenth century was a term of contempt for a man. Whatevers.

I wonder if this is the same "gullion" as "slumgullion," which Merriam-Webster suggests may be from "slum slime + English dialect gullion, mud, sespool"
