Such as a baby name book, or a gazetteer, or the Analytical Onomasticon to the Metamorphoses of Ovid.* From a collection of Greek names, with explanatory notes, compiled c. 180CE by Julius Pollux; the -nom- is the same one as in nominal. Stress on the third syllable.
