Okay, back in the saddle again -- and to make it interesting, another theme week: animals I learned about from Lesser Spotted Animals by Martin Brown, starting with
dunnart (DUN-art) - n., a mouselike insectivorous marsupial (20-odd species of genus Sminthopsis) of Australia and New Guinea.
Name is from the native Nyungar language, danart. This one is a slender-tailed dunnart, not that you can see that from the pose:
