sifaka (si-FA-kuh) - n., any of several lemurs (genus Propithecus) with a long tail and long fur.
They climb and leap vertically, and move on the ground with a sideways bipedal hop. The name is from Malagasy (the language of Madacascar, which by the way is a Polynesian language), imitative of their call. There are about nine species, depending on how you count -- this one's a Verreaux's sifaka:
