forglopned (for-GLOP-ned (?)) - (obs.) adj., terrified, astonished.

Dictionaries of Middle English disagree on which of those meanings to best understand -- some even assert "overwhelmed by astonishment." It comes from a verb, forglopned, and there are two related words, aglopned and just plain glopned, both with the same general sense -- here, the for- prefix seems to be used as an intensifier, much as in forlorn. Regardless, this looks like a lovely word, and I urge everyone to do their best to remove that (obs.) by using it every chance you get.

Can at least confirm the prefix: it's the same as modern German ver-. Usually I've seen it glossed for Middle English as meaning completely, comprehensively. Definitive MED: gloppen.
