orthometry (awr-THAH-muh‧tree) - n., the art or practice of correct versification.


Not that I have any interest in the subject, cough cough. Does not appear in many modern dictionaries, or any that do not in some way derive from Noah Webster's first (1828) American dictionary. Coined from Ancient Greek roots ortho-, right + metry, measure, as in metrical feet.
