shambolic (sham-BOL-ik) - adj., (chiefly British) chaotic, disorganized, mismanaged.
I think I've run this before, but Googling this site gives shambolic results -- very hit-or-miss -- and I can't prove it, so running it again. Informal register, but not outright slang. First appeared in the early 1960s as an alteration of shambles into an adjectival form on the model of symbolic, with an intermedial -o- to break up what would otherwise be a very awkward -mbl- combination.
