Boops boops

prettygoodwordBoops boops (BOH-ops BOH-ops) - n., an eastern Atlantic seabream, commonly called brogue.
Which is to say, the binomal species name is Boops boops, which is not pronounced like the English boops but the Greek βόωψ (meaning cow-eyed), with two separate vowels. I don't care, though. It's still a boops boops to me, and I just wanna boop its little snout.

Anyway, this starts a theme week of various miscellaneous animals, most of which you won't want to boop, alas.
